Google Maps Is Now Allowing Users To Order Food. How Cool Is That?

Google Maps is a desktop web mapping service developed by Google. It offers satellite imagery, street maps, 360° panoramic views of streets (Street View), real-time traffic conditions (Google Traffic), and route planning for traveling by foot, car, bicycle (in beta), or public transportation.

A recent update for Google Maps for iOS adds a "Place an Order" option directly in the app, 9 to 5 Mac reports. The new feature can't be accessed everywhere, though it is available in most major cities. And while it doesn't actually let you order food straight from the app, it does streamline the process.

Google Maps for iOS version 4.24.0 allows users to place local delivery orders using a selection of on-demand food delivery services. As Apple Insider notes, the app's Explore feature "surfaces nearby eateries serving breakfast, lunch, coffee, dinner and drinks."

As reported by Fortune, here hot the new feature of Google Maps work.

Users click on a restaurant in Google Maps to get more information, and if they like what they see, they click the option to place an order. Then, they can choose from whichever food delivery apps where the restaurant is available, including Seamless and GrubHub. Maps will then redirect users to the delivery service of their choice.

Additional features include plus codes, which are location-finders that allow users to drop pins and share “location cards,” and the option to take and add photos to a business or restaurant’s description.

Now, whenever you are as long as you have your smartphone with you, you can place and order on your favorite food stores. Use your Google Maps application and just wait for few moments, the food will be delivered whenever you are. This is an amazing updated from the Google Company. This also allows a busy person to get easier food take outs.
