'Rick and Morty: The Non-Canonical Adventures' Is Out; Adult Swim's Season 3 Release Not Delayed, New Episodes Scheduled To Air In December

"Rick and Morty" season 3 is still a month or two away and Adult Swim decided to whet the appetite of the cartoon's fans with the release of the Halloween special "Rick and Morty: The Non-Canonical Adventures." This may be a far cry from what the new episodes will be, but the stop motion animation features what Rick and Morty would do with some of the most popular movies.

Rick and Morty Halloween Shorts

After keeping their silence as to the exact date of "Rick and Morty" season 3 release, the least thing fans expected is a series of short videos featuring clay animation. Adult Swim teamed up with Lee Hardcastle to produce 30-second videos where the two get into weird situations although not as farfetched as the usual predicaments that they encounter.

"Rick and Morty: The Non-Canonical Adventures" is composed of four shorts. The Halloween skits are just the thing fans need to get by without new episodes. The shots featured how the characters act such as Rick's fondness for younger women showcased in "Ex Machina." There's also "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" which focuses on what "Rick and Morty" is all about - family.

"Rick And Morty" Season 3 Release Date

Based on the most recent reports, Adult Swim is still on track for a December release despite what the rumors are saying. There might have been no official announcement from Adult Swim yet but from the last podcast featuring "Rick and Morty" writers Sarah Carbiener and Erica Rosbe, it is indicated that the series will be released before 2017. With all things considered, it's most likely that the series will have a fall premiere and that it would be made in the first week of December.

With all the hype that the series is creating, Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland are certainly making fans more excited about "Rick and Morty" season 3. If by December Adult Swim doesn't make any announcement, there would be a lot of complaints from its fans club.
