Rapoo TV for iOS and Android Devices Can Make Any HDTV Smart

The flow of technological wonders is powering the CES madness each day. An innovation like PaperTab, presented at the mega show, has the potential to change the way we use computers or tablets today. In yet another interesting tech revelation, Rapoo, a manufacturer of wireless peripheral products, showed off Rapoo TV, which as the company's claims, can turn any HDTV "smart."

Rapoo TV is basically a receiver and remote solution to help add SmartTV functions to an HDTV. The wireless receiver enables any WiFi enabled iOS or Android devices to be connected to an HDTV which in turn converts the TV into an intelligent one mirroring all the smart features on the big screen. The device can be converted to the TV remote as well.

With this device, users will be able to enjoy all the features of a smartphone such as downloading apps, surfing the Internet, or viewing smartphone content etc. In addition, the TV can be used as a large desktop as users can connect a wireless keyboard and mouse to the TV taking the user experience to the next level.

However, strangely enough in this era of 3D color TVs, the makers said the TV will be coming in black or white in the first quarter of 2013. It remains to be seen as to how customers would welcome this advancement given the fact that there are a couple of similar options for iOS users such as Apple TV and a few others for Android users expected to hit the market in the near future.

Earlier at the CES, Rapoo had showed off its H9080 Home Entertainment Wireless Headphones which promised deep, on-demand bass boosting and clean treble tones.
