Heroes Of The Storm New Heroes Announced During BlizzCon 2016

BlizzCon 2016 has just wrapped up with lots of good news for fans. One of the most talked about is the two new playable characters in Heroes of the Storm. The announcement came during opening day of BlizzCon. Game producer Kaeo Milker was present on stage during the announcement.

The two additional characters are World of Warcraft's Ragnaros and Varian Wrynn. Varian will be available for testing next week and will fully debut in the game on November 15. Varian is the first multi-class hero in the game which can be played either as a deadly assassin or a shield-wielding tank. Ragnaros, on the other hand, will join Heroes of the Storm in December.

Aside from Heroes of the Storm new characters, Blizzard also announced that a new brawl called Blackheart's Revenge will be introduced on November 15. The new brawl will only allow one Core in attacking Blackheart. On the other hand, those who will take the defending side will help Blackheart against the attacking team by preventing them to stack cannonballs which will be used to sink the ship.

Another good news for Blizzard games' players is the Nexus challenge which will allow players to unlock Overwatch freebies and other special items when they play Heroes of the Storm. The Nexus challenge will commence on November 15 and will end on January 4.

The challenge will allow Heroes of the Storm players to complete 15 games in the Ranked, Unranked Draft, Quick Match, or Co-op vs A.I. Modes. Once they finished all 15 games, they will be rewarded with a new and unique Oni Genji skin along with the Oni Genji and Zarya portraits in Heroes of the Storm. Those who are able to complete 30 games have more special items waiting for them, such as the 30-day stimpack and the Orochi Hovercycle mount.

In addition to all this, Blizzard's reveal of the Overwatch character Sombra became one of the highlights of the show.
