'Rick And Morty' Creator Dan Harmon Talks About 'HarmonQuest'; Hybrid Series Renewed For Season 2

The brains behind the massive hit "Rick And Morty," Dan Harmon, recently announced that his other creation, "HarmonQuest" has been renewed for season 2. Check out the details below.

Creator Dan Harmon has something new to keep the fans occupied while waiting for "Rick And Morty" Season 3. Recently, it has been announced that "HarmonQuest" has been renewed for Season 2 and was picked-up once again by NBC Universal's comedy streaming service, Seeso.

It has been confirmed that the next batch of 10 "HarmonQuest" adventures will air in 2017. However, fans who cannot wait any longer have some good news to look forward to. Seeso has also confirmed to launch "HarmonQuest: Expanded Universe" on November 3, which will feature bonus material such as deleted scenes from Season 1.

"A lot of people worked very hard on season one of 'HarmonQuest' and I love seeing them rewarded for that because, well, that's basic behavioral conditioning," said Dan Harmon.

To recall, "HarmonQuest" is a live-action/animated hybrid series which incorporates role-playing campaign in front of a live audience. The show's unique concept made it an instant hit to animation enthusiasts.

"We are thrilled to continue the hilarious journey of our unlikely heroes with another season of 'HarmonQuest,'" said Aimee Carlson, VP of Development, Universal Cable Productions. "Its unique production hybrid of live-action and animation is like nothing else out there. We look forward to all new adventures and many more laughs with Dan, Spencer and this great group of talent."

"HarmonQuest" Season 2 will once again showcase the wit and talent of Dan Harmon, Jeff Davis, Erin McGathy and Spencer Crittenden. They will take on another fantasy role-playing adventures in the vein of Dungeons and Dragons.

The second season of "HarmonQuest" is slated for release on 2017 via Seeso. For now, check out the "HarmonQuest" trailer below.
