Android 6.0 Marshmallow Problems You Should Know

Android 6.0 Marshmallow with codenamed "M" is the 6th major version of the Android operating system. First unveiled in May 2015 at Google I/O, it was officially released on October 5, 2015. Marshmallow operating system primarily focuses on improving the overall user experience of Lollipop. But unfortunately speaking, there are still bugs remain unfixed even Android have some updates within it.

The Samsung Galaxy Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update is an excellent upgrade but it's far from perfect. We continue to hear about Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow problems plaguing Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S5, and Galaxy Note 4 users.

Battery Life Fail

Battery drain is the one sure-fire update problem that almost everyone experiences eventually. Not surprisingly, Marshmallow battery drain is one one of the major Android 6.0 problems being bandied about the interwebs. Early cases of misattributed Wi-Fi battery drain tended to just be bad system reporting, but other more serious battery problems are easy enough to deal with, reported by Android Authority.

Android Updates

Aside from the poor battery life of both the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, there are many users faced problems regarding their Android updates. The owners often complained about how slow the device is to the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update.

According to Gotta Be Mobile, Samsung Galaxy S7 users are seeing sync issues also, an issue where the device doesn't wake up properly, battery life problems, issues with various apps including Chrome, and more.

These Galaxy S7 Android 6.0.1 issues are impacting Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge owners around the globe including here in the United States. If you're planning to upgrade to the Galaxy S7, make sure you do your homework before buying.

App Crashes

Some users have also been experiencing random app crashes after the Marshmallow update. If you notice is it always the same app that crashes, it may just be a mismatched API issue (Marshmallow is API 23 and not all apps are compatible with it yet). The easiest thing to do is clear the app cache by following this steps:

Settings > Apps > Choose the App > Storage > Clear cache
