Arguably, “The Originals” has been facing speculations that its upcoming fourth installment will be its last. Before the strong followers of the supernatural drama settle into a final conclusion of the series, check what The CW’s honcho has said about its future.

Fans of the show start to worry when “The Vampire Diaries” was confirmed for its final season. Considering that “The Originals” is a spin-off of the “TVD,” rumors were quick to link that the two vampire programs are on their final run together. Another reason that caused the audience to be upset is that the Klaus Mikaelson-led show did not make it in the roster of the network’s shows for Fall TV 2016.

Mark Pedowski, The CW’s boss explained that the network wanted to strengthen their mid-season and fall programming.

"We have a very strong schedule. We still believe quite a bit in "The Originals". We only have 10 hours, so we made a choice to [hold it] to further boost our schedule at midseason,” Pedowski said.

He also slammed the cancellation rumors and hinted his future plans.

“No decision has been made one way or the other. My dream is it isn't [the final season],” he added.

A report noted that “The Originals” isn’t the only show moving to the mid-season lineup. “Reign” was renewed for season 4 after being shifted to the mid-season slot for the second half of its season. It will possibly get lesser episodes considering its new position.

Meanwhile, followers of the horror series were treated earlier with major spoilers that came directly from its major character, Klaus. Joseph Morgan who plays the role took to his Instagram account and teased everyone with his short clip saying "Someone will be betrayed. There will probably be a staking of some kind or another. Blood will flow. Enemies will become friends, friends will become enemies. Strange and new alliances will be formed. And most of all more than any of that, there will be Klaus.”

With Klaus’ rising from the dead, he might persuade Marcel in saving him to pursue his old dirty tricks. Hmmm.
