“Rick and Morty” season 3 script is done. The future episodes and voice cast have been revealed. These official announcements were made recently by the showrunners themselves. However, no release date has been confirmed. What’s taking it so long?

“We ended four weeks ago, I think. I think they're done soon, they're done really soon. I think in a week or two they're going to have screenings in the production office,” Erica Rosbe said.

Rosbe is one of the creative writers of the animated sitcom “Rick and Morty.”Keen on not being generous with spoilers of the upcoming installment, Rosbe maintained that the story has been written but the series’ animation process is causing the delay of the premiere.

Once the animation works is done, the third season is subjected for various phases of finalization. One is the screening at the show's production offices. If the schedule noted by Rosbe come to fruition then she and executive producer Don Harmon are in sync.

“We are going as fast as we can my brother. I'm not authorized (nor would I really be able) to give you an airdate for season 3,” Harmon said.

Although he previously confirmed that the hit comedy show will air this year, it looks like the viewers will be caught in surprise with the thrilling release of the sci-fi program.

Despite a delayed premiere, the avid fans of the black comedy can only expect an outstanding entertainment. Wild, crazy adventures of Rick, Morty and the rest of the squad are expected. Harmon has been honest enough that the whole crew of animators who work on “Rick and Morty” take their jobs too seriously, making sure that they will wow the watchers.

The animation cycle for “Rick and Morty” is not an easy task considering its unconventional technique. A report mentioned that the process applied is called "retroscripting, in which the animators work around primarily ad-libbed dialogue.” This is a great factor why voice actor Justin Roiland mumbles and stutters so when he roleplays Rick's voice.

Other celebrities joining Roiland in the incredible voice cast are Keith David and Joel McHale. Bird Person is also teased for a possible reappearance in the forthcoming season.

The strong followers of the series are likely to smile, laugh, worry and get hilarious with the comedic brilliance of the entire cast. Morty’s parents Beth and Jerry are speculated to divorce due to their endless fights. Rick might take his boldest step of breaking out from prison with an alleged aid from a powerful character.
