‘Kong Skull Island’ Releases New Trailer; Will Godzilla Appear In The Movie?

Since the latest trailer of "Kong Skull Island" was released recently, there has been an online buzz among fans of the two most gigantic and destructive monsters in movie history. Fans are wondering if they would be treated with a fight between King Kong and Godzilla in this upcoming movie. Is this true, and is it possible for the big screen to contain these two humongous and uncontrollable monsters?

This Fight Is Entirely Possible

Fans will be happy to know that this fight between the biggest reptile and ape is entirely possible. Some have even dubbed this would-be-encounter as the fight of the century. Moviemakers are currently in production or are planning a movie that will focus on this massive battle. The working title of that movie is Godzilla Vs. Kong. It's tentative release is in 2020.

In reality, the two have already met and fought each other earlier. CinemaBlend says it was in a 1962 movie entitled "King Kong Vs. Godzilla." Currently, it has been reported that Legendary has acquired the rights that will enable it to cast different characters from the world of Godzilla. This might include King Ghidorah, Rodan, Mothra, and many others.

There Are Challenges In Depicting Monsters In The Movies

Vogt-Roberts, director of "Kong Skull Island", has commented about the challenges he faced in depicting King Kong in the movies. In an EW interview, he said: "There's been obviously so many different versions of him in the past and ours needed to feel unique to our film." It would be very difficult not to compare his Kong from the Kongs of other films.

"I had a mandate that I wanted a kid to be able to doodle him on the back of a piece of homework, and for his shapes to be simple and hopefully iconic enough that, like, a third grader could draw that shape and you would know what it is," he added. That would be a tough job even for a director of his caliber.
