Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered DLC Rumor: Revealing Hidden Weapons For First Time - DLC Coming?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered players are discovering all sorts of hidden weapons in the game. There are speculations that Activision is planning an upcoming DLC for the remake game.

Hidden Weapons Discovered

Weapons that were previously unavailable in the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare game has suddenly appeared in the remastered version. Almost a dozen such weapons have been discovered so far. Many of them were actually used in other COD installments although some weapons would not work.

Activision Blocks YouTube Video

Reddit users posted a number video clips in YouTube to show the new weapons in COD: Modern Warfare remastered edition. However, game publisher Activision has them banned from YouTube. Fortunately, the video clip of the bayonet shovel and the Kamchatka-12 rifle could be seen at Streamable.

Speculation On Hidden Weapon

Most of the discovered weapons were actually used in the older COD installments. In fact, the shovel bears several versions but with the same image such as Icepick or Bottle and they are also described with a "temp" added next to their name. Curiously there were also references about Blacks Ops 3 found in the remastered version as well.

Upcoming COD: Modern Warfare Remastered DLC?

These hidden weapons and newly discovered codes may indicate that the game developer is either planning to add new contents to the game or these items have been abandoned but not completely removed. A Reddit user name tails managed to list some of the raw data he found on the game. Interestingly, some of the weapons and accessories included the "loot" term. This indicates that the game may soon add some loot bonus or drops.

So far, neither Activision nor Infinity Ward has indicated that it will add a future Modern Warfare DLC to the remastered edition. It is also important to bear in mind that the remake Call of Duty installment is merely a pre-order bonus for the COD: Infinity Warfare. But Activision may soon sell it as standalone if there is substantial player demand for it.
