Mophie Moto Mod Adds 3,000 mAh Of Battery To The Moto Z

The new Mophie Moto Mod is a 3,000 mAh battery pack for the Moto Z lineup of smartphones. The Mod supports the Moto Z, Moto Z Play and the Moto Z Force. Mophie is a well-known maker of mobile accessories and battery packs. The Battery Mod from Mophie is a very practical add on for the Moto Z.

Lenovo announced the Moto Z, Moto Z Play and the Moto Z Force with a modular feature called Moto Mods. These accessories or Mods can attach to the back of the smartphone giving it additional features. For example, a Projector Mod adds a handheld projector to the Moto Z device. There are several more Mods that enhance both the looks and the features of the smartphone.

Mophie Moto Mod Battery Back

Lenovo has alread announced a battery pack for the Moto Z lineup of devices. However, that only provided 2,220 mAh of extra juice, whereas Mophie has more to offer. A lot of consumers use battery pack these days, specially when going on a long trip. The new Mophie Moto Mod will be a lot of help for the Moto Z users.

As mentioned previously, the Battery Mod features a 3,000 mAh battery. The case attaches to the phone via magnets and transmits power using the 16 golden contact points. According to Verizon, the juice pack Battery Mod can provide up to 60 percent of additional charge depending on the device.

The accessory features a USB Type-C port that supports fast charging and also has LED power indicators to show the battery level and status, as reported by PhoneArena. This may not be the most futuristic approach to a modular smartphone, but it is a practical one.

Mophie will sell the Juice pack Battery Mod on Nov. 28 for $79.99, which is pretty good for an accessory that simply attaches to the device and works. No cables required whatsoever, except when the battery pack needs charging. Interested customers can also pre-order the battery mod right now.
