Aston Martin unveils more powerful Vanquish S at the LA Auto Show 2016. That makes a whole lot of sense considering the bad guys would catch up to James Bond if his car doesn't get faster than the previous ones he had. Since the Aston Martin Vanquish that came before the S model was already very stylish, then there is only a little area left to improve on its next iteration. This means the automaker had a whole lot of time focusing on improving its power.

The Aston Martin Vanquish S' Source Of Speed

The source of speed of the Aston Martin Vanquish S comes from the same 5.9-liter V12 that was used in the previous model. According to Digital Trends, the difference is that the new version now produces 580 horsepower, an upgrade from the previous one that produced only 568hp. This powertrain is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that delivers the power to the rear wheels that allows the Vanquish S to go from zero to 62 mph in just three and a half seconds with a speed maxing out at 201 mph.

A Few Additions In Style And Functionality

In a report given by Maxim, the Aston Martin Vanquish S also received a few additions in the aspect of style which includes a quad exhaust tips that make the power of the new model more overt along a couple of carbon fiber aerodynamic pieces like the splitter, diffuser and bonnet louvers. Functionality features include refined anti-roll bar bushes, spring rates damper intervals and suspension to allow better driving experience.

Price And Availability

Digital Trends reported that the Aston Martin Vanquish S has a price tag that starts at $294,950. In the same report, it was mentioned that the Aston Martin Vanquish S will be commencing deliveries in April 2017 and it will be available in convertible and coupe options.
