Munchlax is a normal type Pokemon and is also called the Big Eater Pokemon because of its appetite. One of its hidden abilities is (surprise, surprise) gluttony. Munchlax is offered as a free gift during the Pokemon Sun and Moon release.

This blue-colored Pokemon with a cream spot on the chest was first revealed in 2004 as part of the Generation 4 Pokemon. It has two-pointed teeth that protrude even with its mouth closed. Its major appearance was when May captured it in Berry, Berry Interesting, the 117th episode of the Advanced Generation series. It also appeared in a number of Pokemon manga.

To get your free Munchlax, start the game first then save the game and exit. After that, start the game again and go to the Main Menu where you can find "Mystery Gift." Click to select then "Get gift from the Internet." You will receive Munchlax and a Snorlium Z.

To collect Munchlax, go to the Pokemon Sun and Moon Poke Center and talk to a guy near the healing station. After having a conversation with him, he will give you your free Munchlax. The one you receive is at level 5 already and you can evolve it to Snorlax with the help of the Snorlium Z.

The Munchlax evolves by keeping its happiness levels high through eating and giving it your maximum affection. Therefore, you need to feed it, pet it, give it a bath, and fight battles. Once the happiness levels reach the maximum, it will evolve to Snorlax. After that, use the Snorlium Z to give it its special attack ability, the Pulverizing Pancake.
