Watch Dogs 2 Multiplayer Patch Goes Live; See What You Can Do Now

Ubisoft has finally launched what Watch Dogs 2 players have been waiting for - a patch for the broken "seamless multiplayer." That is to say that some aspects of the multiplayer mode are now live, but other features are not included in the patch.

Watch Dogs 2 Multiplayer Fix: What's Included?

The first wave of the Watch Dogs 2 multiplayer patch should now be able to hack into the world of a rival hacker. Players should also now be able to invite friends into co-op or search for partners. With regards to Bounty hunts, players can now trigger these events to be chased or find targets to chase. The last one is one of the most-awaited features as this was highly advertised in the trailers and gameplays.

Watch Dogs 2 Update 1.05: What Else?

The fix coincides with the release of Watch Dogs 2's 1.05 patch. Apart from the fixes to multiplayer, the update also brings some changes and improvements in the overall gameplay. It contains crash fixes and improves overall stability. Ubisoft went on to state that although the crashes are only happening to a small percentage of players, they make the game unplayable for these ones.

Watch Dogs 2 Multiplayer: What's Coming Next?

"We'll continue to monitor the online stability of the seamless multiplayer features and should everything continue to run smoothly," Ubisoft says in its announcement on Reddit, "we'll activate the final phase of seamless multiplayer, unlocking the following additional multiplayer features: Bounty mode without the use of the app (will occur seamlessly in-world), and encountering other players in the world to complete co-op missions and DedSec events with."

That is all there is to the latest Watch Dogs 2 update, but fans are more than thrilled that they will finally get what they are looking for next time. The single-player campaign is no less interesting than the multiplayer, but there are just some gamers who want to experience the rich world of Watch Dogs 2 with friends or co-gamers across the world.

The game is now available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. PC owners get it on Nov. 29, but NVIDIA has a sweet treat for them in the form of a free copy.
