Injustice 2 Release Date To Arrive On Ealy 2017? Additional Details Revealed

Sources said that NetherRealm Studios upcoming game title entitled Injustice 2 will officially hit the stores on Q1 of 2017. Earlier this year, the company has been successfully getting their fans hyped up for the upcoming fighting game. They previously showcased a 15-minute video footage of Injustice 2 gameplay. However, the forthcoming game title does not have a definite release date beyond 2017 despite of all the teasers and gameplay trailers that were released previously.

According to the report from Game Rant, though the release date of Injustice 2 has yet to be confirmed by both Nether Realms and Warner Bros, GameStop may have leaked a possible date for the title to arrive. The online retail juggernaut's latest earnings report contains its marketing plan for next year and also in Q1 of 2017 category. Injustice 2, alongside Mass Effect Andromeda and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, has been seen on the said plan.

Based on the report, the Q1 release would be reasonable enough for Injustice 2 since it will feature Wonder Woman. As noted, the Wonder Woman movie is set to be released in June, so if the game will be released ahead of the film, it could get a huge boost from the fans. However, launching in Q1 means that the title could be facing some stiff competition.

As sources said that several game titles are also scheduled to arrive during that time like Nier: Automata, For Honor, Nioh, Halo Wars 2 and Horizon Zero Dawn. Meanwhile, by March of next year, Mass Effect: Andromeda, Ghost Recon: Wildlands and the release of Nintendo Switch console and all of its supportive game titles are expected. Judging on this massive line up of game titles arriving, it would be a tough road for Injustice 2. Meanwhile, other details that fans want to know is the inclusion of DLC and release platform plans.

Previously, it was confirmed that Injustice 2 will be releasing a more aggressive DLC but the details are still unclear.

Injustice 2 is slated for release on 2017 for PS4 and Xbox One.
