'Legends Of Tomorrow' Spoilers: Rip Hunter Returns But Not As The Man He Used To Be

Rip Hunter is one of the favorite characters from “Legends of Tomorrow” season 1 so fans were surprised of his disappearance after he saved New York City. But news of Rip Hunter's return are now circulating and series cast Maisie Richardson-Sellers has confirmed the news. She says Rip Hunter is coming back but it's possible that’s it's not the same Rip Hunter as before.

In one of Masie’s recent interview, she reveals major spoilers about Rip Hunter. “He does come back, just not necessarily the Rip that we remember. That's sort of what is a big part of the second half of the season.” She said.

It's possible that the Rip Hunter returning is someone from a different universe. It can be remembered that Rip sent a message to Barry which both of them kept as a secret. And until the episode airs, no one can really tell what kind of Rip Hunter will return. Some fans even speculate it could be an evil Rip Hunter from a different dimension and comes back to destroy humanity.

And that’s not all Maisie reveals about the upcoming episode of the series. She also shares another character’s return “There is someone coming back. That's all I can say, that there is someone coming back you will see in the next episode we're shooting, that's...12.”

Maisie Richardson-Sellers plays as Vixen in “Legends of Tomorrow” and her character made a debut as a member of the JSA. This team is composed of members including Commander Steel, Rex Tyler, Obsidian, and Dr. Mid-Nite. However, she decided to leave the team when Tyler died and went with the Legends with a mission to avenge his death.

Rip Hunter’s return is expected to happen in the second half of the season. Meanwhile, fans are enjoying the “Legends of Tomorrow” crossover with “Supergirl”, “Arrow”, and “The Flash” which is expected to start in the upcoming episode.

“Legends of Tomorrow” airs on CW every Thursday at 8 PM ET.
