Yuri on Ice episode 8 had seen the much-awaited faceoff between Yuri and Yurio. Commonly, Yuri did an amazing performance at the Rostelecom Cup. He ruled to rank second next to Jean-Jacques Leroy of Canada.

The upcoming episode 9 of Yuri on Ice is expected to bring more challenges to Yuri. It seems it will be more difficult for him this time because it is his first time to skate without his coach, Victor. Spoilers suggest that he have a new coach.

 Unlikely, Viktor arrived just in time before Yuri's act. Yuri finds relieve as he sees his coach watching him performing on ice. Seeing Viktor perform in the audience makes him feel more motivated. Rumor has it that Yuri will be able to perfect his free program routine. After Yuri's performance, Victor will come running to him. They will hug and the scene will most likely be the highlight of the episode.
