Dota 2 News: Team Liquid To Sign GH.God?

Team Liquid won DreamLeague Season 6 after a convincing 3-0 victory against Escape Gaming. This milestone marks the momentous change for the team after its major reshuffle following TI6 where they acquired Amer 'Miracle' Al-Barkawi and Kanishka 'BuLba' Sosale. But coming into DreamLeague, Team Liquid opted to play with a standin, Maroun 'GH' Merhej as a substitude for BuLba. After the new roster made an impressive run in DreamLeague, will they drop BuLba and officially sign GH into their main roster?

Dota 2: Team Liquid

Following the post-TI6 reshuffle, Team Liquid has yet to show stability until their impressive run in the Major LAN tournament, DreamLeague Season 6 where they won $90,000 for the championship spot. This victory however, is seen to be a pivotal milestone for the team as they had been playing with a standin throughout the tournament, temporarily dropping BuLba for the rising Lebanese 9K MMR pubstar, gh.god.

According to GH, this is his first LAN tournament and as such, made sure to do his best "not to disappoint." In the post-game interview, GH was asked how he maintained his composure in front of the huge crowd and replied: "Let me tell you something: when you know what you need to do in the game, you don't feel any more stress."

Dota 2 Team Liquid and Escape Gaming

Team Liquid is not the only team that played with a standin coming into DreamLeague. Escape Gaming also played one as Trixi became the team's replacement for KheZu after the latter was acquired by Team Secret. Just like Team Liquid, Escape Gaming also managed to perform an impressive run following their substitute as the team was considered as one of the underdogs coming to the event.

Despite both teams played with subs, it appears that their new roster is stronger than the original one and so the question now is, will the two organization particularly Team Liquid official sign their current standin into their main roster? For now, it's pure speculations but as you may know, BuLba already removed Liquid in the affix of his Dota profile. Does this mean that Liquid will soon announce a roster change? Well, many fans are already hoping that GH will replace BuLba as the team is looking more solid than ever.
