NBA Trade Rumors: Klay Thompson To Celtics; Jimmy Butler To Warriors; Three-Team Deal

NBA trade rumors about Klay Thompson moving to Boston Celtics heat up again following persistent reports, while the Golden State Warriors could still be interested with Jimmy Butler. A three-team major deal is also ringing a bell at the moment with Jae Crowder and Marcus Smart moving to the Chicago Bulls.

Klay Thompson To Boston Celtics

This rumor sparked when former player and Celtics TV analyst Brian Scalabrine dished more details on SirusXM NBA radio about Klay Thompson's possible move. He stressed that the shooting guard being traded to other team has been mentioned for quite many times within Golden State Warriors, and even teased that his future home wears green. In return and alongside Patrick McCaw, Scalabrine disclosed that Celtics might send out Avery Bradley, Amir Johnson and Jae Crowder.

This season kicked off mediocre for Thompson but he has managed to redeem himself later on as a shooting guard and rim protector. According to industry insiders, however, if the Warriors' super team has to be disbanded, Thompson is likely the first player to go as Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant are way more viable for the team as for now.

Jimmy Butler To Golden State Warriors

Last season, Chicago Bulls had discussed trading small forward Jimmy Butler with the Golden State Warriors to no avail. The Warriors had expressed to Bulls its interest in Butler but the circumstances did not make it possible. Reports point out that the Warriors could still be keeping tabs on Butler, more especially if the Kevin Durant experiment does not meet expectations.

Three-Team Deal

Latest NBA trade rumors point to a three-team arrangement with the Chicago Bulls, Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics. If this is true after all, the Warriors could send Thompson to the Celtics and receive butler and the Celtics' first-round draft choice in 2018. Meanwhile, the Bulls will get point guard Marcus Smart, small forward Jae Crowder and the Brooklyn Nets' first-round pick in 2018. According to a report from Inquisitr, this major deal will only happen if and only if the Golden State Warriors loses its rapport.
