Samsung Galaxy S4 Official Specs Revealed

It appears there will only be one variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone, since the benchmarks reveal the device supports GSM/WCDMA/LTE networks. Rumors said that Samsung would release two variants as it did with the Samsung Galaxy S3. The Galaxy S3 in North America was released with a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, while Europe, China, Korea and Japan received a Galaxy S3 with a faster 1.4GHz Samsung Exynos quad-core processor.

This won't be the case with the S4, as the benchmarks reveal that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be a world phone and all regions will receive the same smartphone, with the Exynos Octa 5410 CPU clocked at 1.8GHz. This should make future North American Galaxy S4 owners happy to know that they will indeed be getting Samsung's eight-core Exynos processor in the Galaxy S4 and won't have to settle for a slower processor due to region.

Androidiani posted screenshots of the Antutu benchmark, and it gives us the full rundown of the Galaxy S4's specs. The Samsung Galaxy S4 will feature a 4.99-inch Full HD 1920 x 1080, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, Exynos Octa 5410 CPU clocked at 1.8GHz, PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU, 32GB of internal storage (device used in benchmark), 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, full HD 1080p video recording, 4G LTE, GSM and WCDMA radios, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, physical buttons for Home, Back and Menu. Samsung is expected to offer the Galaxy S4 in black or white. Internal storage is expected to match Apple's iPhone 5 with the Galaxy S4 being offered in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB internal storage capacities.

The Antutu benchmark shows that the Samsung Galaxy S4's Exynos Octa processor outperforms all current high-end smartphones and tablets currently on the market. Samsung's eight-core processor in the Galaxy S4 makes it the world's fastest smartphone based on the benchmark results. We are only a few days away from Samsung's media event on March 14, at which it will officially announce the Galaxy S4 — and we can expect to get a few more details on carrier support, pricing and release date.
