What's With The Major Software Update Of The Huawei Mate 9?

Though the 5.9-inch smartphone packs impressive hardware, its software is lacking the energy compared to the UI of other manufacturers, as mentioned by WCCFTech. However, the company’s EMUI 5.0 comes with massive improvements across the board such as notification handling. The Major Software Update Of The Huawei Mate 9

According to Phone Arena, the Mate 9 comes equipped with incredible hardware, but the software side of things has been a bit lacking up until this point. EMUI 5.0 is a massive improvement when compared to past iterations of Huawei's custom Android interface, but just ahead of its official launch in Europe next month, Huawei has sent out a major update to the phone that improves a lot of major aspects about it.

As Andoird Central said, the update fixes a couple of major software issues, that is, on the parts of Gmail notifications being shown in white text, making them unreadable. Huawei has also switched back to showing app icons in the top left corner of the screen for notifications, as opposed to just showing a number in the earlier build. Notifications have long been an Achilles heel for Huawei phones, so it’s great to see the Mate 9 now having a setup that basically mirrors stock Nougat.
