LG Electronics originally announced its new UltraFine 27-inch 5K display at the end of October, a desktop panel sporting in 218 pixels per inch to create an insanely 5,120 x 2,880 resolution.Orders placed through Apple's website will ready to ship within 6 to 8 weeks, it means that the first units are unlikely to arrive in 2016. Apple already said before that the LG UltraFine 5K Display would be in the market to purchase in December.

LG UltraFine 27-inch 5K: Everything You Should Know

Measuring 27 inches on the diagonal, the 5K UltraFine Display was developed in partnership with Apple and has resolutions up to 5,120-by-2,880 with DCI-P3 color, matching the recent MacBook Pro hardware released in October. With built-in speakers, three USB 3.1 ports and 85 watts of charging power, the display works as a hub for Apple's I/O constrained notebooks and offers as a suitable replacement for the erstwhile Thunderbolt Display.

Talking about the UltraFine design, or lack thereof. Apple has created gorgeous monitors since the Studio Display line back in the '90s, and it's safe to say that the LG UltraFines do not follow in the same tradition. They are greatly generic, with simple black plastic casing and fairly large bezels that protrude surrounding the screen. If Apple didn't already create the iMac, it would probably have an emoji character for the computer monitor.
Moreover, The other three USB-C ports can be also used for other uses, though they're limited to USB 2.0 because of Apple and LG's bandwidth-splitting solution for piping a 4K signal through USB-C. The 5K model doesn't have limits because it uses the faster Thunderbolt 3 interface, it only means that loses compatibility with the USB-C-only MacBook - you'll probably need a new Pro model to drive the bigger display.
