Final Fantasy XV is an open world action role-playing video game that is now available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game was released worldwide on Nov. 29 and is the fifteenth main installment of the Final Fantasy series. The newest addition comes with new features that may confuse even the most hardcore fans.

In the game, players will come accross special weapons that can be upgraded through locating certain treasures. Here is a guide to locate the sturdy Helixhorn in order to complete the upgrade process and finish the Engine Blade III side quest in Final Fantasy XV.

Go To Lestallym Outpost In Cleigne

In Final Fantasy XV, once you have upgraded the Engine Blade to Rank 3, the next task would be to upgrade it to the final Ultima Blade. Cid will ask you to find the Sturdy Helixhorn, a rare item belonging to Duplicorn that is a unicorn enemy that is large and powerful. Such are harder to find compared to the other rare treasures needed to upgrade the Engine Blade. Once you finish talking to Cid, the "A Better Engine Blade III" quest comes up. After this, head up to the Old Lestallum Outpost in Cleigne to begin.

Be At Level 29 Or Higher To Survive The Quest

Go inside the diner and speak with the tipster to learn about the nearby hunts happening at the moment. Take note of a particular hunt called "The Last Spiracorns." When ready, talk to the tipster to pick up the hunt. The hunt may be difficult to conquer, so make sure you are at level 29 or higher  to survive the battle.

Defeat Duplicorns And Spiracorns

Now that you have accepted the hunt, proceed to the location marked on your world map. The quest will require you to defeat two Duplicorns and 3 Spiracorns in Lower Wennath. You want to avoid using magic as this will likely kill everything before you're able to acquire the sturdy Helixhorn.

In order to acquire the Helixhorn, you need to get rid of the Spiracorns first before attacking the Duplicorn's head. This move increases your chances of the item dropping. The only way to get the Helixhorn is by breaking the appendage of the Duplicorn. Smash its face until the "break" option appears. By then, you should see the reward item pop-up on screen. If you are struggling to break its face, you can use the Armiger ability through targeting the horn and slashing it with normal attacks.

Note that this isn't a 100 percent guaranteed drop so you might need to complete the hunt multiple times to pull it off. This may be quite a hassle but it is the only way to acquire the sturdy Helixhorn.

Head Back To Hammerhead and Upgrade Your Engine Blade

Once you have the sturdy Helixhorn with you, go back to Hammerhead and speak with Cid to complete the quest and upgrade your Engine Blade. There are no other ways to upgrade the Engine Blade as of the moment. Might as well follow the steps we have given you. We'll keep you posted for more updates.
