Verizon HTC Droid DNA For $49 on Amazon

The Verizon Droid DNA will impress anyone looking for a flagship smartphone at a very low price. It is still one of Verizon's current flagship Android smartphones.

The Droid DNA features a 5-inch 1080p 441ppi (pixels per inch) SUPER-LCD 3 display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920, Gorilla Glass 2, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense, a Qualcomm quad-core 1.5 GHz processor, 16GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera, 2.1-megapixel front camera, 1080p HD video recording, 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, HDMI out port, 2,020mAh battery, a waterproof case, NFC (near field communications) and built-in wireless charging.

HTC designed the Droid DNA to have a phablet-sized screen without making the smartphone wide and uncomfortable to hold, as are some current 5+-inch phablets. It offers all of the benefits of having a large screen but it still remains pocket-able and portable, and can be used with one hand. The HTC Droid DNA's screen even outdoes Apple's iPhone 5's Retina Display. The iPhone 5 packs a 4-inch screen with a resolution of 1136 x 640 and 326ppi, compared to the Droid DNA's 1080 x 1920 and 441ppi. HTC has laminated the Droid DNA's screen to eliminate reflections, which comes in very handy when you're using the smartphone in sunlight.

It has a slim, light and tough polycarbonate unibody, with an ultra-matte finish and distinctive red side grilles, in a nod to Verizon. Its dimensions are 5.55 x 2.78 x .38 inches and it weighs 4.9 ounces. The Droid DNA also has Beats Audio built-in for all the audiophiles out there. One of its cutting edge features is built-in wireless charging support. You can use many of the current wireless chargers already on the market with your new Droid DNA. Once you begin charging your smartphone wirelessly, you'll wish all your gadgets had this feature out of the box.

Amazon is currently offering the Verizon DROID DNA for $49.99 through its online store when signing a new two-year contract. Amazon is offering free two-day shipping and the smartphone will ship within 24 hours. $49.99 is an amazing deal, considering Verizon currently charges $199.99 in retail stores and online.
