Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9502 Dual-SIM Version Headed To China

The impending launch of the Samsung Galaxy S4 on March 14 in New York is just days away and rumors and leaks surrounding the upcoming smartphone have started gathering momentum. The latest rumor doing the rounds is that the Galaxy S4 sporting the model number GT-19502 is making its way to China.

A Chinese forum, S2Samsung, has leaked images of the Galaxy S4, which is apparently a dual-SIM version and is meant for regional carrier China Unicom.

"A Chinese forum has published plethora of pictures of GT-I9502. Images reveal a lot of things on the hardware front and most importantly, the design. Interestingly, the forum poster claims it to be a dual-SIM version of the Galaxy S IV for China Unicom," reports Sammy Hub.

The leaked images give one glimpses into what the purported succesor to the Galaxy S3 will look like. The images point to a device that sports rounded edges. Moreover, the specs of the leaked Galaxy S4 are in keeping with the rumors so far. The device sports a 1080p full HD display, a 1.8GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, and a 13-megapixel camera.

However, a discrepancy exists in the design of the Galaxy S4 as nearly all the sources have hinted at a rectangular device sans rounded edges. In all probability, the leaked model could be a prototype Samsung may have been testing.

The Korean tech giant is known for testing diferent designs for its devices to avoid the original design from leaking. In 2012, prior to the release of the Galaxy S3, the succesor to the Galaxy S2, Samsung did a similar thing.

Moreover, if the recently leaked cases for the Galaxy S4 were to be taken into consideration, then they would also suggest a squarish design and not a rounded one. The leaked image bears more of a resemblance to the Galaxy Note 2 and is in all likelihood not the final design for the Galaxy S4.

With the Galaxy S4 date with destiny knocking at the door, we'll soon know what Samsung has in store for consumers and if the rumors of a flexible display and eye-tracking technology bear fruition.
