If the rumors are to be believed, Samsung will be using a new screen technology called Green PHOLED for the display of the Galaxy S4.

This new display technology will be a full HD OLED panel which will be called Green PHOLED. What makes this new display technology beneficial to users is that it is calibrated to provide 25 percent more energy efficiency when compared to previous display technologies. Samsung is a company known for its displays and has been using AMOLED screens in all of its high-end smartphones.

AMOLED is considered to be one of the best displays currently available, but just because it's the best does not mean there aren't some major drawbacks. Samsung's introduction of the Green PHOLED display eliminates some of the biggest drawbacks currently found in AMOLED displays. A major complaint of AMOLED displays is that they are known to cast a bluish tint on the screen and are also known to have high color saturation, which results in colors that look washed out.

Samsung will be providing some key benefits in using a Green PHOLED display and future Galaxy S4 owners will be thanking Samsung for using this technology.The Green PHOLED display has been described as producing stunning colors while also being much more power-efficient.

Another reason why Samsung is also rumored to have gone with this display technology is that it will greatly improve battery life. The Galaxy S4 will need to benefit from improved battery life since it is rumored to have a 5-inch display that will be showing off all of those stunning colors.
