Aside from Mario, Super Mario Run has four other playable characters in the game - Luigi, Toad, Yoshi, and Princess Peach. Each of these characters have their advantages and these advantages. Before you can use them., however, you need to unlock them. This article tells you how to unlock Toad.

First of all, you need to have a My Nintendo account which ou can access through the app or by going to their website. If you are using the app, go to My Kingdom Builder and tap My Nintendo at the right.

Toad is given as a reward for being a My Nintendo member so just like any reward, you have to redeem him. From the My Kingdom Builder screen, tap My Nintendo found at the top right of your screen. After the screen loads, tap Rewards on top of the screen. After doing that, Toad will appear on the screen.

Scroll the page down and you will see Redeem. Tap it and claim Toad as your reward without having to pay extra for him. The page also contains some information about Toad. It also gives you a clue what abilities Toad has and in his case, he can run faster than others.

After claiming Toad go back to the Kingdom Builder screen where you will find a box jumping up and down. You will never miss it because it's on the right side of the castle just below the My Nintendo icon.

Tapping the box will take you to another screen where you can see all the rewards you have received. Tap the Receive button next to Toad on that screen. To play Toad in your game, go to the World Tour mode and choose the level you want to play. On the lower right side of the screen, you'll see the character you are currently using. Tap that and another screen will pop up. Tap Toad to change characters and that's it. You can now begin playing Toad in your Super Mario Run game.
