Super Mario Run Is Now Live On Both iPhone And iPad; Android Version To Arrive In 2017

There is good news for those who are Super Mario fans as it is now available for downloading on iOS devices. The app is free for download yet you need to pay $9.99 / £9.99 for the full game to be unlocked. As per reviews, the Super Mario Run is a great game that greatly honors its characters and the classic platform franchise for Nintendo.

Super Mario Run has also been updated further for the new generation mobile games players. This is the first app that the developing firm has made a smartphone game for its famous characters. It followed the release of the Pokemon Go game. Since Mario is a famous and established game character, thus it is predicted to be successful, according to Piers Harding-Rolls of HIS Technology Consultancy.

The full game can be opened by making an in-app purchase. Shigeru Miyamoto led the revelation of the game during an Apple event last September. He also mentioned about his thoughts about the game as a misstep since it requires users to have an access to the internet just so it can be played. Miyamoto said that this is done to avoid piracy.

Harding-Rolls said that there are some demographics that might want to use the game when they commute, and they are also aware about its coverage in some market and it might be relatively patchy. Super Mario Run has the same Super Mario Bros format, which makes the character sprint from left to right while collecting coins, jumping over obstacles while battling against enemies.

There were changes that were made for the gameplay in order for an easier access for one-handed touchscreen phones. The free version of the game is similar to a brief demo while its full version has three modes, namely World Tour, Toad Rally, and Kingdom Builder, as reported by VG 247.
