Samsung Galaxy S4 Can Print Documents, Photos And More Directly To HP Printers Wirelessly

The recently-launched Samsung Galaxy S4 is set to include HP's wireless printing functionality, which the latter's upcoming HP Slate 7 tablet will boast of. Samsung Galaxy S4 users will be able to print documents, photos, etc. wirelessly via an HP printer.

Users of the Galaxy S4 will have "an easy way to print directly to more than 180 HP network printer models across the HP inkjet and HP LaserJet portfolios" at their disposal. HP promises users "no setup, tools, drivers, or network configurations to adjust."

Moreover, its solution is the only one to offer "sophisticated printer settings and options that include duplex printing, color, orientation and paper type."

"Customers continue to look for ways to print from their smartphones and tablets," said Stephen Nigro, senior vice president of HP's Inkjet and Printing Solutions and Graphics Solutions Business, Printing and Personal Systems Group. "This partnership with Samsung is the latest example of how HP is making it easy to print what you want from wherever you are."

This option will make printing on-the-go hassle free, as well as save precious time. If that wasn't enough, Samsung hasn't forgotten about its old warhorses as the print functionality will also be pushed out to the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 as firmware updates.

"Print functionality will be supported with the upcoming release of the Samsung GALAXY S 4 and will be available later this year as a firmware upgrade to the Samsung GALAXY S III and Note II, enabling built-in, wireless printing compatibility," notes the press release.

Users will have the option to print by either automatically connecting the Galaxy S4 and HP printer via a Wi-Fi network, or using "HP technology via wireless direct print."

Several Samsung apps on the Galaxy S4 like email, S Note, Polaris Office, Photo Gallery, etc. will have a built-in print button.
