As per GSM Arena, the Galaxy S8 would be a 5.7-inch smartphone with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution. It will have the Always-on display technology and come with a fast Snapdragon 830 processor. It is expected to come with a microSD slot with 256 GB capacity and a RAM size of 6 GB. Two storage options are expected (64 GB and 128 GB).

Furthermore, Samsung is expected to finally make use of the dual camera technology and equip the Galaxy S8 with a dual 12 MP rear cam paired up with an 8 MP front cam. Furthermore, an iris scanner and a fingerprint scanner are both expected to be present on the Galaxy S8. However, if rumors are true about S8's lack of a home button, its fingerprint scanner could be embedded on the display. It's also worth mentioning that the S8 may no longer come with a 3.5mm audio jack.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Rumor Roundup

The Galaxy S8 has been through a bunch of rumors over the past months. The most recent one being a phone equipped with a "beast mode" feature. "Beast mode" practically refers to a supercharged setting designed with VR in mind, Tech Radar reported. On top of that, it has also been mentioned a number of times that Samsung will be giving its flagships a Samsung-owned AI assistant. With the apparent trend involving personal AI assistants, Samsung will not let the S8 be inferior to others.

As a whole, it looks like there is a lot to be excited about for the Galaxy S8. After Samsung's Note 7 dilemma, fans can just hope that the S8 release will go well. With that in mind, it might be safe to expect so much from a company that has a lot to prove after the Note 7 controversy.
