The 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback is equipped with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 174 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque for the LX, EX and EX-L trims. This is paired with a six-speed manual transmission that delivers the power through a front wheel drive (FWD) drivetrain configuration as reported. Accordingly, the Sport models and up are paired with a standard Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with an option for manual.

Reports state that the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback has a fair number of technology features. Push-button start and smart entry are standard along with a seven-inch touchscreen display for its infotainment. The 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback also supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as reported.
In terms of safety, the 2017 Civic Hatchback has the Honda Sensing that includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, collision mitigating braking, automatic high beam headlamps and road departure mitigation.
