Infidelity Billboard Goes Viral, But Is It Fake? (Video)

An angry wife in Greensboro, N.C. has lifted the well-known "Priceless" ads of Mastercard to parade her dirty laundry throughout the community with a large, bright red sign on the highway chastising her husband for cheating.

It's a brash billboard that is allegedly getting revenge on a cheating husband.

Or is it?

Despite (or perhaps because of) the fact that the billboard of scorned wife "Jennifer" allegedly uses her husband's and her investment account to pay for the digital sign for all to see, it has gone viral nationally. But some are wondering: Is this just a marketing campaign?

"Michael, GPS Tracker - $250, Nikon Camera with zoom lens - $1600, Catching my lying husband and buying this billboard with our investment account, - Priceless. Tell Jessica you're moving in! - Jennifer," the billboard reads.

The roadside ad has certainly attracted its fair share of rubberneckers, according to FOX8, which says the billboard has even been slowing down traffic as people pass by in their cars on Battleground Avenue where it appears.

On Thursday, March 21, however, another ad appeared that read (in blue, this time):
"Jessica - Meet me at Yodaddy's at 7:00 p.m. for some wine therapy. -Jennifer."

When Kotis Developments — the company that owns Yo Daddy — was contacted by FOX8, it was discovered that it does own the digital billboard which was erected last month.

"Marty Kotis, Developer and CEO of Kotis Holdings in Greensboro, told FOX8 on Friday that he could not comment on 'who is behind the billboards' but was happy to tell us there's a new billboard up today," FOX8 says.

Clearly, there's something fishy here, especially in light of what Snopes picked up a few years back when a similar billboard was erected in New York City. That ad, with a similar sentiment and also mentioning that the billboard was paid for by a joint account, turned out to be a marketing ploy for Court TV's reality show "Parco PI."

What do you think? Is the ad for real or is this yet another fake video gone viral? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
