According to Techno Buffalo, LG is planning to unveil at least three new robots at CES 2017. Innovating the LG HOM-BOT which is designed as an automated vacuum cleaner for homes, LG's first non-cleaning robots are equipped with AI technologies enabling them to be employed in the home, in connection with other smart appliances, outdoors, as well as in public spaces.
First, LG said it’s also going to unveil a Hub Robot that will surely “double as a smart home gateway and a personal assistant for consumers." While serving as a robot, it will also make sounds like it will have capabilities similar to the Amazon Echo and Google Home.
Second, another new tech support from LG will be seen at CES 2017 is a robot that will demonstrate new capabilities for tending to one's yard and garden. It will be able to navigate complex environments and decipher the most efficient and effective path to accomplish tasks
Third, LG will also unveil robots for public places such as airports and hotels that will “help improve the traveler’s experience.” LG’s robots are equipped with AI technologies which meant for both indoors and outdoors.
As reported, LG’s new robot collection will be unveiled at LG’s CES press conference on January 4 at 8:00 am PST at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas and on display at LG’s booth in the Las Vegas Convention Center from January 5 to 8.
CES 2017 Robotics Preview
Robots of all shapes and sizes are once again set to take over at CES, according to Robotic Trends. Robots will be reached across Tech East, Tech West and Tech South. And they’ll be sprinkled throughout different marketplaces such as Family & Technology, Health & Wellness, Kids & Technology and others, but the following areas are the robotics hotbeds you need to add to your schedule.
The location of this marketplace is on Sands, Level 2, Halls A-D. The schedule will be on January 5 at 10 am to 6 pm, January 6 at 9 am to 6 pm, January 7 at 9 am to 6 pm and January 8 at 9 am to 4 pm.
Visitors will have the opportunity to mingle with nearly all the 30 exhibitors showcasing multiple intelligent, autonomous and awesome machines capable of seeing, hearing and reacting to the environment in ways once thought impossible. A few of the companies that will be on display include LG, Ecovacs Robotics, Five Elements Robotics, Ozobot, Picobrew, Segway, seven dreamers laboratories and UBTECH Robotics.
