Overwatch competitive matches are currently dominated by triple tank Meta play. Fortunately, Bastion seems the one able to break the current reigning Meta.

Bastion Rips The Triple Tank Meta

Overwatch players especially in the competitive scene heavily favors the current triple tank Meta. So far, no effective Meta has been found to counter it. Recently, some players are experimenting on a team comp that can defeat it. It seems though that a counter has finally been found. Interestingly, the crucial Meta counter is a fully mechanized hero.

Bastion can be used to smash through the opposing team's defense despite their Triple Meta comp. Reinhardt or Zarya's shields are no match against the its mechanized machine gun. The hail of bullets will force the enemies to get out of the way. Your team can then move in set up defenses while Bastion unleashes another round of bullets.

Bastion's Team Composition

To help Bastion in busting the triple tank Meta, you will need some reliable heroes as your team mates. Bastion will need Ana, Mei as well as the two the tanks Reinhardt and Roadhog. You will also need an effective flanker maybe Genji, Reaper or Tracer.

It's best for Bastion to engage the enemies at mid-range. Beyond that you can't inflict much damage or fear from the opposing team. Get too close and you risk facing more than you can chew. Make sure to also stay out of Roadhog's chain hook.

In case your Bastion is near the payload and the enemy team is coming on to you, move out. You could set up again in another much safer spot. At sentry mode, you can inflict greater damage that even the opposing healers can't compensate. Still, you have to be aware of your surroundings and keep alert of enemies nearby. No doubt, players will formulate other team comps to defeat the triple tank Meta.
