Square Enix Social Media Account Hacked, Hackers Made Rants About Its Games

Earlier today, the massive video game developer Square Enix was hacked by a little-known hacker group. This was noticed by its legion of fans when apparently, the hacker poster childish rants about EA and FIFA.

Nowadays, a lot of companies are trying their very best to destroy their competitors. This was evident last year when apparently another video game developing company was hacked. In Square Enix’s case, their European Twitter account was hacked. As per reports, the hacking started at around 11 in the morning.

Square Enix Against EA And FIFA?

Fans were shocked when they read some of the posts of Square Enix against EA AND FIFA. Some of them didn’t believe the post while the majority were already spreading out the news. There are rumors before that Square Enix and Electronic Arts(EA) has an ongoing beef. However, these speculations were debunked when both camps stated that there’s really nothing going on between them.

The post might be deleted on their twitter account already but according to those who were able to read it, the post ranges from comical to bizarre. Also, they made childish rants directly against EA. The hackers apparently didn’t stop there. Some of their fans stated that they were blocked or unfollowed by Square Enix’s European page. From a total of 151k followers, it goes down to 150k in an instant.

Luckily, Square Enix was able to retrieve their account after a couple of hours. Players were waiting for any press con on what had happened but Square Enix haven’t answered any questions yet. The hacking that happened will serve a valuable lesson to Square Enix or any company in particular. It shows that they are still not safe with hackers who are persistent in destroying their game.

In other news, Square Enix is now enjoying another level of success with their recently released game, Final Fantasy XV.
