Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Will Launch In March

Microsoft launched the Surface Pro 4 in October 2015. With that information, October 2016 seemed like the most probable release date for a new model which is the Surface pro 5. However, at its October Windows event, the new Microsoft Surface hardware was limited to the new Surface Book i7 as well as the Surface Studio. So we can expect the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 in 2017.

According to PC Advisor, the next big Windows 10 update, which is called the Creators Update, is not coming out until the Spring of 2017 that led to many speculations that Microsoft will hold back its Surface hardware until then.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 already uses the latest, greatest and the most well-known sixth-generation Skylake Intel processors (Core m3, Core i5 or Core i7). At the end of May, Intel confirmed that Skylake's successor, Kaby Lake, would launch by the end of 2016. Also, according to a report from Forbes, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is likely to come equipped with the Kaby Lake Core i7.

As reported by CNET, we could possibly see Microsoft following Apple's example with its new line feature of MacBook Pros, by adding a USB C port to the most awaited Microsoft Surface Pro 5. The report also says that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will have a 4K display and a stylus which recharges wirelessly.
