The MacBook Pro 2016 may have been one of the most awaited releases of 2016. However, when the laptop was finally unveiled, it became a subject for criticisms for a number of tech experts. The MacBook Pro 2016 was constantly compared to other brands and it was more or less criticized for its worth. Most of the time, Apple's laptop is compared to more affordable laptops that have more modern features like a touchscreen and a hybrid body. Right now, one of MacBook Pro's competition is the Dell XPS 13 2 In 1. Here's a quick overview of how these two laptops compare to each other.

MacBook Pro 2016 Overview

The new MacBook Pro comes in three variants and all of which are relatively premium-priced. The 13 inch variant without the Touch Bar is priced at $1499 while the one with the Touch Bar is priced at $1799. The 15-inch variant then comes with a $2399 price tag and it only has a Touch Bar variant.

Know that the new MacBook Pros boast of its Touch Bar and Touch ID features. However, the cheapest version doesn't have both of these. MacBook Pro 2016 And Dell XPS 13 2 In 1 Comparison

As a whole, both the new MacBook Pro and the Dell XPS 13 2 in 1 have some pros and cons. There's no doubt that the MacBook Pro is quite an expensive deal. For a laptop that doesn't have a touchscreen or a convertible body, it's hard to decide how worthy of your money it is. Nevertheless, when it comes to internal specs, the new MacBook Pro is quite competitive. It's even got the ports that the Dell XPS 13 2 in 1 isn't generous with.

Needless to say, the Dell XPS 13 is quite a sweet deal for anyone looking for a great hybrid laptop. It is portable, sufficiently spec'd and most importantly, it is priced reasonably. The company might have minimized the specs to achieve convertible-appropriate looks, but overall, it's still a steal deal. It even boasts of its infrared camera that makes Windows Hello recognition possible.

As a whole, choosing between the Dell XPS 13 2 in 1 and the new MacBook Pro is a matter of preference. If you are a die-hard MacOS fan, then going for the MacBook Pro is an understandable decision. However, if what you want is a modern piece of technology and a great value for money, the Dell XPS 13 2 in 1 is quite hard to resist.
