Fans and enthusiasts will be happy to know that aside from the new model being more powerful than the previous one, it's also been made classier. The 2017 Mercedes Benz GLA has received external updates that make the new model classier than ever. It was stated that the bumpers have been modified and paired with a new grille that gives it a bolder look. In addition, the headlights have been replaced to an LED from the previous bi-xenon lamps and it has been equipped with a new set of wheels. At the rear section, the 2017 Mercedes Benz GLA has a new rear diffuser along with spoiler lip to improve aerodynamics.

The 2017 Mercedes Benz GLA is now equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine that is capable of 381 horsepower and 471 pound-feet of torque. This is paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission that propels the 2017 Mercedes Benz GLA from zero to 60 miles per hour in just 4.4 seconds. Reports state that the 2017 Mercedes Benz GLA also offers a diesel engine.

It was also noted that the interior did not receive any major updates. However, it was stated that the infotainment system screen has been upsized to eight inches. In addition, the upholstery has been updated from the seats to the steering wheel. In terms of safety features, the 2017 Mercedes Benz GLA is now equipped with an active brake assist and 360-degree parking camera.
