The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is really racking up success points around the globe right now, but nothing is perfect. Limited battery life on any device can really put a crimp on one's usage, and that's something that will always be a problem no matter how cool a device might be.
So we're delighted to have found a video recently uploaded that gives a few tips on how to keep the battery life of our Samsung Galaxy Note 2 going strong.
The video is courtesy of Business 2 Life and is a little less than nine minutes in length.
For those who don't have that kind of time to watch a video in this hyperkinetic world, here are some of the highlights that should allow your Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to run the way it's supposed to, without conking out on you when you need it most:
One: You can easily get into your Settings on your Note 2 — as with most Android devices — so some of keeping your battery's life in tip-top shape is up to you. Just go into Settings every now and then and toggle certain individual options to save your battery's life. They're easy to turn back on, too, when you're ready to use them.
Two: Turn off your Wi-Fi if you don't need it. This way, your signal radio won't always be searching for Wi-Fi connections. This can otherwise burn down your battery. You can turn this off while you sleep, as well. This may affect your data, Business 2 Business warns, so you may have to learn a little more about that effect before utilizing this tip.
Three: Similarly, you can turn off your GPS on your Samsung Galaxy Note 2 unless you're using maps. It's best to leave your GPS off because otherwise it's running and wasting your battery life.
Four: Turn off your Multi Window and Bluetooth (unless you need it for a call or something), too.
Five: Use your Samsung Galaxy Note 2's Power Saving Mode at night or during times when you're in a meeting or otherwise not using your phone. There's no reason to have your Galaxy Note 2 running at full speed when, well, you're not actually using it. This can make a huge difference.
Six: Under "More Settings," you can also turn off your NFC and your S Beam, as well.
Seven: You can also use your display setting to adjust your brightness. Set it as low as you possibly can without losing visibility.
