Horizon Zero Dawn Gets A Whole New Trailer

A lot of hype is following Guerrilla Games' Horizon Zero Dawn as it looks to be one massive and beautiful game. Earlier trailers have given audiences a look at what kind of animatronic "creatures" the game has, but a new trailer has been released that explains the main story and gives glimpses at the world of Horizon Zero Dawn.

The video was posted up by Playstation and showcases the main character, Aloy, as well as her supposed comrades and enemies in the game. It looks like players have more than the robotic grasslands to explore, as the trailer features full-fledged kingdoms and castles, all looking stunningly beautiful. The trailer also gives a glimpse at all the different "creatures" that will appear in the game; newer "creatures" appearing alongside the ones that were in previous trailers.

The interesting thing about HZD's timeline is that it takes place in a "primitive" future where technology has meshed with nature and man has devolved back into tribes and savagery. Earlier trailers had Aloy bow-hunting robotic crabs that had been "grazing" in the grass for some reason. Though the concept may be a bit alien, Horizon Zero Dawn manages to make audiences curious and captivated on the world that the developers have portrayed so far.

Guerrilla Games, the company behind Horizon Zero Dawn, is best known for its Killzone franchise, and this will be a fresh start for anyone who wants something different from the studio. The game will be making use of their Decima engine in for HZD, and interestingly enough, it will also be the same engine used for another highly-anticipated game, Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding. With that in mind, reception of Horizon Zero Dawn will greatly affect the audience's eagerness for Kojima's first independent game.

Horizon Zero Dawn is a PS4 exclusive, and it's slated for a release on Feb. 28.
