iOS 7 Delayed: How Does It Affect iPhone 6, iPad 5 And iPad mini 2?

Rumors are flying thick and fast that Apple will launch the iPhone 6, iPad 5 and the iPad mini 2 soon. Speculations also suggest that the new iDevices will run on the company's latest operating system, iOS 7; however, a recent report indicates that iOS 7 may be delayed, which means that either the next iDevices will miss out on the iOS 7 or the launch of the expected iDevices will be delayed as well.

Apple blogger John Gruber of Daring Fireball claims to have inside knowledge of what is going on with the upcoming iOS 7. He reports engineers have been pulled from OS X 10.9 to work on iOS 7 and the design changes of the new OS are so radical that those engineers with carry permission are using polarized display filters.

"What I've heard: iOS 7 is running behind, and engineers have been pulled from OS X 10.9 to work on it, (Let me know if you've heard this song before)" says Gruber.

Apple released the iOS 6 in September 2012, with the iPhone 5 being the first device to run on the latest OS. Various rumors indicate that iPhone 6, iPad 5 and iPad mini 2 will launch soon and Apple may release iOS 7 with one of the upcoming iDevices. If iOS 7 is delayed then it may happen that iFans will be able to lay hands on the latest device but will have to wait until Apple rolls out iOS 7.

The launch of iOS 6 was not very smooth, as many customers complained about various issues; the biggest being the Apple Maps fiasco, which even required the company to release an official apology to iOS 6 users.

Apple will definitely want to fix the reported issues of iOS 6 and bring new features to the iOS 7.
