The Mystery Behind Galaxy Note 7 Explosions Might Be Revealed January 23

Samsung was a part of what can be deemed as one of the biggest manufacturing failures in the smartphone world. To refresh your mind, Samsung had to go through a controversial recall process as its Galaxy Note 7 phablets went through an explosion saga. Now, although that controversy has already come to an end, Samsung is still expected to provide its consumers a detailed explanation of what went wrong with the Galaxy Note 7.

The Culprit Behind Note 7 Explosion

Right now, Samsung is yet to reveal the exact reason for the Note 7 explosions. However, as per Reuters' source, it is no other than the battery that caused the phablets to catch fire. This may be a very generic explanation of the explosion and this may already be a boring rationalization of the matter, but blaming the battery and only the battery does open up tons of questions for the consumers. Take note that Samsung has initially replaced the batteries of the returned Note 7s during the first recall. However, the replacements with "fixed" batteries still exploded, which kind of removed the possibility that it is only the battery that caused the flare-ups. With that, followers of the issue are very much anticipating the company's explanation.

Samsung To Explain The Note 7 Explosion Saga

According to the Reuters report, the result of the investigation regarding the Note 7 dilemma could be revealed January 23. This would be a day before Samsung is expected to announce its fourth quarter earnings. This rumor may have come from a confidential source but it does make sense for Samsung to provide a detailed explanation about Note 7's quality assurance failure.

Analyst Bryan Ma says that the company has to ensure that they come clean and they also have to give buyers the reassurance that such an incident won't be happening again. Needless to say, Samsung's mobile business head Koh Dong-jin is expected to announce the highly anticipated investigation results alongside the new measures that the company is taking to assure the quality of future Samsung devices.
