NBA Jam 2K17 Now Available Courtesy Of SNES Emulator

NBA Jam 2K17 features a roster update albeit unofficially. A game fan managed to include a number of new players using an SNES emulator.

Harambe Joins NBA

NBA Jam 2K17 does not feature the smooth graphics and play of new games such as NBA 2K17. It does provide though a feeling of nostalgia especially for older players. The unofficial update features various personalities that include the famous gorilla Harambe who passed away recently. Politicians like Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are included as well. Celebrities such as Kanye West are here. Of course many of your favorite NBA players are all in the game as well.

New players such as LeBron James, Steph Curry and Russel Westbrooke are here. Some of the legendary players like Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant are there. Even old-timers like Reggie Miller and Scottie Pippen are also in the game. You simply need to unlock them in game.

The NBA simulator game has 30 NBA teams including new ones such as the Memphis Grizzlies, Toronto Raptors and New Orleans Pelicans. Some of the teams though still sport their original name and logo. For example, the Seattle Supersonics is still here, the original name of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

About NBA Jam

NBA Jam first started around 24 years ago as an arcade game that was eventually ported SNES. The series also made its way to Sega, Game Boy, PlayStation and Xbox. The last update was made five years ago and was called NBA Jam: On Fire Edition. It was only available for the Xbox 360 and PS3 back then.

One Caveat Maybe

It should be noted that this is an unofficial SNES game. Since Nintendo is highly protective of its IP, there is the possibility that NBA Jam 2K17 might get shut down. For now, you can still download the game at hogswithablog. You could also watch the video preview to see if it's to your liking.
