The online retailer Littlewoods listed an Oct. 2 launch while U.K. retailer GameSeek claims that the sequel is landing on Oct. 20. Which one is true, if any? Is one of them a typo? Or maybe both are just placeholders?

Red Dead Redemption 2 Release Date May Likely Fall In October

Rockstar has already confirmed a Fall 2017 launch window for Red Dead Redemption 2, but fans still have to wait for a specific release date. An October release date, which these companies keep on slipping, seems to be a right fit. However, because the two supposed leaks do not support each other, it is entirely possible that Rockstar is looking at another date.

The GameSeek listing stated that the game will be released on Xbox One and PS4 on Oct. 20, but despite the retailer's reputation as a reliable company, fans should not pin their hopes just yet. The developers have not yet debunked or confirmed any rumor, so it is best to wait for an official announcement for now.

More Red Dead Redemption 2 Information Coming Next Month?

It has already been about three months since Red Dead Redemption 2 was confirmed and there is only seven months (or more) before its release, but not much is still known about the 2010 title sequel. A trailer, some screenshots or gameplay details are very much welcome at this point; so when is Rockstar going to release information about its upcoming game?

RDR2 predicts that more news can be expected next month in time for the Take-Two's earnings call, which is slated to kick off Feb. 7. Companies tend to take advantage of such events to offer little sneak peeks of their future games, so fans will possibly get a taste of Red Dead Redemption 2 before or during.
