Motorola X Phone Latest Specs Point To Super Fast Smartphone And More

The X Phone will be Google and Motorola's first smartphone since Google acquired Motorola. The X Phone has turned into a very desired device and the smartphone hasn't even been confirmed or officially announced. This level of interest is on par with Apple's iPhone and Samsung's Galaxy smartphones: people want to know as much as possible about the X Phone. So it's time to look at the latest X Phone rumors.

The latest rumors point to the X Phone having a 4.7-inch (1280 x 768) Gorilla Glass 3 display that will make cracking your smartphone's screen a thing of the past. The smartphone will reportedly be "30 minute meter-deep water-proof, meaning that you can use it under heavy rain, while taking a shower, or even accidentally dropped it in the toilet." If you've dreamt about making calls and using your smartphone in the shower or while swimming, the X Phone might make those dreams come true.

The X Phone is rumored to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core Krait 400 CPU, which can go as high as 2.3GHz per core, along with an Adreno 330 GPU. If the rumors are to be believed, the X Phone would be the first smartphone to ship with an insanely fast 2.3GHz processor.

The smartphone will need a battery large enough to handle that processing speed and Motorola has proven that its smartphones kill its competitors in battery life. The RAZR MAXX HD has one of the longest-lasting batteries found in a smartphone: the 3,300 mAh battery gives the smartphone 22 hours of talk time. The X Phone will allegedly ship with a 4,000 mAh battery. The smartphone will also ditch removable storage, just like Google's Nexus 4.  It will make up for that by having " huge internal memory of its own to cover up the for the loss of an external card slot."

The X Phone is still rumored to be announced at Google I/O in May, so we should only have a few more weeks of X Phone speculation.
