Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 In Black: $19.99 On Amazon

The Samsung Galaxy S4 will be out in a few weeks and will most likely run you about $199 to $249 on Verizon to purchase the smartphone with a new two-year contract. But if you want a smartphone that will be getting many of the software features found in the Galaxy S4, you can purchase a black Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 for $19.99 from Amazon. If you want to buy the Galaxy S3 directly from Verizon, get ready to pay $99 and sign a new two-year contract.

The Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 still has some of the best specs found on any smartphone today: It features a 4.8-inch, 306ppi (pixels per inch) 1280 x 720 Super AMOLED Plus HD display, Android 4.0 (upgradable to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean), a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 16GB of internal memory and 2GB of RAM. It also has an 8-megapixel rear camera with zero shutter lag and LED Flash, a 1.9-megapixel front camera, 1080p HD video capture (rear camera), 720p HD video capture (front-facing camera), 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC (near field communications), a microSD slot with support for up to 64GB microSD cards and a 2,100 mAh removable battery.

The Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 ships with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich but is upgradable to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. You'll receive all of the benefits of Jelly Bean, including Project Butter, which dramatically speeds up the UI of Android.  Galaxy S3 owners will also get the added benefit of another major feature of Jelly Bean, Google Now. Google Now is like Siri on steroids; it is much faster and more accurate than Apple's virtual assistant. Samsung has also promised that the Galaxy S3 would receive a software update that will enable many of the software features that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will ship with.

Amazon is currently offering the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 in black for $19.99 when signing a new two-year contract. Amazon is offering free two-day shipping and will ship the Galaxy S3 within 24 hours.
