Playstation 4 Available For Pre-Order In UK

Those eager to get their hands on the PlayStation 4 can get a little more excited, as the device is now available for pre-order.

The pre-order for the PlayStation 4 is available through retailer Asda. Though it will cost £20 to reserve the console, no word on a price for the system has been indicated. According to Asda, users will receive a discount code that can be used when the PlayStation 4 is released. Only one pre-order is available per customer and the PlayStation 4 is expected to arrive in the UK by the end of the year.

"The current expected date of release made by Sony is Christmas 2013," Asda states on its website. "Asda make no guarantees that this is correct or will not change and Asda shall not be held responsible if Sony change or delay the release date of the Sony PlayStation 4 in the UK and or limit stock."

Customers who pre-order the PlayStation 4 will receive notification of the console's release date via email once it is officially announced. Though these customers will have an advantage over those who don't pre-order, the PlayStation 4 will still be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

"If stock is in short supply, Asda will fulfill the order as soon as it has stock on this first come first served basis," Asda states.

Features for the PlayStation 4 will include a built-in hard drive, an AMD Radeon Graphics card, an X86 CPU, 8GB of memory and an Eye camera in the style of Xbox Kinect. Some confirmed games for the console are The Witness, Driveclub, Destiny, Killzone: Shadow Fall, Knack and Watch Dogs.
