Paladins Open Beta 42 is now officially live on PC and players are enjoying the new champion that entered the Realm. However, it seems like Hi-Rez Studios development team are planning on adding another champion to the future Open Beta updates. The leaked information regarding a possible arrival of a new champion was first discovered on the latest Paladins datamining.
According to the newest datamined information, Paladins fans will be expected to receive not one, but two future champions. However, only one champion was identified as of the moment and it comes with the name of Meave. The new champion is suspected to hold the role of a Flanker. In addition, some players also suspect that its model will somehow related to a feline species since it has a skill called Nine Lives.
Based on the datamine, Maeve could possible hold either two Knives or Daggers as a primary weapon. Aside from its abilities, Maeve now also receives its own version of cards and talent. Meanwhile, the other champion is still unknown. However, as seen on the previous OB41 data mining, the new champion is expected to be a Frontline. Additionally, its abilities were also leaked but unlike Maeve, the second champion still does not have its own card set and talent yet.
On the other hand, Valentine's items and Valentine's chest were also seen on the latest datamined information. The expected skins will include a Skye bundle called Heartbreaker, Strawberry Unicorn, Heatthrob's Thunder Stick and an Exclusive Mount.
In addition, a possible Chinese New Year items are expected to arrive. As reported, OB42 patch now features a new Weapon Skin for Pip called Rooster Brewster. If this is true, these items might be a follow up to the ones with Pip's.
Lastly, the previously announced Talent System is now seen on the latest datamining as all of the Champions, including Maeve, receives a full description of their respective talents. However, it is worth noting that these Talent descriptions are subject to change since Hi-Rez Studios have not confirmed anything yet.
