The Analogue Nt Mini Is Another Retake Of The Original NES That Is Worth A Look

The unlucky ones who have yet to score an NES Classic Edition console may want to take a look at the Analogue Nt mini.

While the Analogue Nt looks nowhere near the classic Nintendo Entertainment System, it does sport a sleek aluminum design which is appealing to both older and younger generations. What's more intriguing is that it supports around 2,000 game titles in the form of both NES and FamiCom cartridges as well as Disk System games via an expansion port. That means those who have their old games gathering dust in the attic may want to dust them off and see if they still work.

Cheat Codes

The Verge has listed down some of the impressive features of the Analogue Nt. One of them is the ability to use the old cheat codes. Like the NES Classic Edition, the Analogue Nt allows players to "level up" by using original Game Genie cheat codes.

Different Settings

The Analogue Nt's visual and image settings are also something worth talking about. Players have the option to adjust the color of the games. The console has six different color options which include black and white. It also allows users to create their own color palette using an SD card. The screen's height, width, and position can also be changed.

Price

When the first Analogue console came out, it was priced at $499. The new smaller Analogue Nt is $50 cheaper at $499.

Despite being another remake of the NES, the Analogue Nt is not a product of gaming legend Nintendo. As a matter of fact, the company behind the Analogue Nt is unsurprisingly called Analogue, Inc. The Analogue Nt from the Seattle-based company is considered an aftermarket of the NES as well as the FamiCom, the Japanese version of the NES that was popular in Asia.
