The ASUS Transformer All-in-One (AiO) P1801, the world's first all-in-one PC to feature a detachable tablet, is now available for purchase in the U.S. All-in-one PCs are a new trend among many computer manufacturers, but Asus took it just a step further with the detachable tablet.

Tablets are slowly closing in on the PC market, a favorite portable device among people on the go. ASUS combines both the PC and tablet with the ASUS Transformer AiO to give users PC performance and mobile tablet convenience. Users can also experience both Windows 8 and Android Jelly Bean, as ASUS offers everything in this revolutionary platform.

"Can't decide between Windows 8 or Android? Why not get everything in one? The ASUS Transformer AiO is just that, a powerful Windows 8 All-in-One PC that offers all the essentials of HD entertainment and productivity, while also being a full-fledged, 18.4-inch Android tablet for a spacious, touch-friendly tablet experience for the home," ASUS said in a news release.

Windows 8 runs when the ASUS Transformer AiO is used as a PC. As a standalone tablet, users have the option of running either Windows 8 or Android.

"Windows 8 remote model lets you wirelessly use the tablet for Windows 8 when the tablet is undocked. Easily and effortlessly switch between Windows 8 and Android modes from the dedicated blue button located on the side of the tablet," ASUS explains.

The ASUS Transformer AiO P1801 is available now at online retailers including Amazon, B&H Photo, Fry's and J&R for $1,299.
